Terms and Conditions:
Bookings & Payment
Payment must be made before commencement of your training course or assessment. Cash payments will not be accepted immediately prior to commencement of your training or assessment. Internet Bank transfers are preferred. The payment must be received before the day of your training or assessment. EFTPOS is not available. Bookings made via a third party vendor carry an administrative/ booking fee and do not qualify for Competence Zone discounts or promotions. Invoices must be paid by the due date printed thereon.
Cancellations , Refunds, or Re-scheduling
Cancellations must be made least 48 hours prior to commencement of your course. We are happy to refund any fees paid to us in advance of your course, minus a $40 processing fee with 48Hrs notice. Cancellation requests for all paid invoices incur a non-refundable processing fee of $40. Payments made with a Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card may only be refunded to the original card used to secure the booking. If you cannot provide us with 48 hours notice you may be charged a processing fee up to 100% of the total original fee. The training fees will be forfeited by the Customer in the following circumstances:
- Failure to attend the course . Except with prior arrangement.
- Failure to present the necessary documentation at the time of the course.
- During your course; if you decide not to continue.
- Learner’s motorcycle has no current Rego or WOF or L Plate (if applicable) or is not to WOF Standard.
The Instructor retains the right to withdraw the Customer from the intended course or practical test if the Instructor believes that the required standards of safety and control will not or has not been achieved. Where applicable an alternative course may be substituted to enable the Customer to acquire the necessary level of competence.
In the instance where the original session date or time is requested by the client to be changed; with less than 24hrs of notice, a Re-scheduling fee will be charged.
Adverse Weather
Training takes place rain or shine. Lessons may be rescheduled at the instructors digression if the weather poses a hazard.
Learner Behaviour
You must always act in accordance with the directions and advice given to you by your Instructor during your training. You must use suitable protective gear in the case of motorcycle training. You are obliged to inform us of any physical condition or otherwise that could adversely affect safety or training. Dangerous riding or driving and inappropriate speeding will not be tolerated. You will accept full responsibility for your actions. Competence Zone will not be liable for any accident or incident that may occur during the training or assessment. You must operate your vehicle in according with current legislation when riding or driving on public roads. The Instructor has the right to stop training of a customer if he believes the Customer is incapacitated in any way through fatigue, alcohol or drugs, or fails to comply with instructions or safety standards.
Property and Equipment
When we supply the training vehicle, necessary care must be taken to avoid damage to the vehicle. Any damage caused will be for the customers’ account. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage, for any reason, to any Customer’s personal property. Any damage caused to a Customer’s own motorcycle whilst being used for training purposes is the responsibility of the Customer. All equipment loaned free of charge or hired to the Customer must be treated with care and respect. If damage or loss is caused by wilful neglect or misuse then a charge of not more than the loss incurred by us will be made to the Customer.
Safety and responsibilities.
Motorcycle riding or the driving of a car by its very nature, involves a degree of risk. In booking a course or a lesson, the Customer must accept these risks and hazards.
Although every effort is made to ensure your safety during your course you must realistically accept that there is a possibility that an accident may occur that causes injury to you. Unless shown to be deliberately negligent, your Instructor and or Competence Zone is NOT liable for any expenses, loss, damage or injury incurred by you as a result of any incident that may occur.
Premium Coaching:
Premium Coaching Vouchers only apply to the owner of the voucher code as per Competence Zone’s records. Discount applies to Premium Coaching only irrespective if used against a CBTA pack purchase. Vouchers may not be combined with any other promotion or special. Vouchers are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. All Premium Coaching starts in Panmure or outside the AA at Meadowlands dependent on the type of coaching required. Premium Coaching is an individualised program hence coaching will be different among individuals. Motorcycle must be registered and to WOF standard with affixed “L” plate (if applicable) before coaching begins.
Promotions:
All promotions or advertised sale prices are for a specified period. Spaces are limited and on a first come first served basis. All bookings must be made and confirmed with full electronic payment within the specified period. Your invoice will have a payment due date and time printed on it. All offers made or implied are withdrawn on expiry of said date and time printed on your invoice. No two advertised promotions may be used in conjunction. Cancellation, Refunds or Re-scheduling of paid for promotional or sale purchases are as per terms above provided the re-scheduled date fits into the promotional or sale period. All promotional or sales purchases must be made via our merchant services portal; no bank transfers on these purchases. A link shall be provided to you on your invoice to make payment.
